  • Can I bring my dog to the Mint Hill park and highland games?

No pets are allowed in the Mint Hill Park at all. The Scottish festival is closed to all pets and you will not be able to attend the Highland Games if you have your pet with you. We expect many thousands of people to attend and no matter how friendly a pet is, we can not risk having someone injured. In addition we will have Scottish livestock and trained sheep herding dogs on the premises that could excite a pet and cause injury to the livestock, sheep dogs or even worse to a person. Thank you for asking your question and understanding our response.

  • Can I bring my dog to the Highland Games?

I am sorry but we can not allow visitors to bring their Dogs or other pets to the Mint Hill Highland games because we will have Sheep and Sheep dogs as part of the Highland Games event and we need to protect them and other visitors from pets that may become too excited.
Thank you for understanding... it's in everyone's best interest.

  • Can I bring a picnic

Yes a picnic should be fine, but you'll need to pick a location for your picnic that does not obstruct other visitors from enjoying the events and does not create a hazard for people walking by. There are areas on the outer perimeter that should allow enough space for your picnic.
